Q: How old do I need to be to work at Animal Ark?

Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Q: Do I need previous experience with animals?

While experience is a plus, it’s not required. We’re happy to train the right person who is passionate, reliable, and eager to learn.

Q: Can I volunteer or intern if you’re not hiring?

We do not offer volunteer or intern positions.

Q: What kind of jobs do you usually hire for?

All positions are part-time and involve customer service, feeding animals and cleaning their enclosures, restocking shelves, and helping customers find the right pet.

Q: How can I increase my chances of getting hired?

We love team members who are enthusiastic, responsible, enjoy helping people, and not afraid to get their hands dirty! Pet care or retail experience helps, but a great attitude goes a long way.
No employee is exempt from working with any of the animals, so if you have an animal allergy or fear of certain creatures this may not be the right job for you.
